On 27th April, Zhejiang GSP&DC Energy Technology introduced the new solid-state brand Baxpower at the China International Battery Fair 2024 in Chongqing, China. The CEO of GSP Richard Zhou,  GSP&DC Technology President Chang Li, Chief Scientist Haiming Xie and General Manager Qian Chen came to the fair and presented the new products launching showcase. 

China International Battery Fair (CIBF) is an international meeting and the biggest exhibition activity on the battery industry. It includes various activities, such as exhibitions, technical seminars, and information conferences. The CIBF plays a substantial role in advancing battery technologies crucial for the switch to renewable energies. The fair provides Chinese companies with a stage to present their products and technologies internationally and establish partnerships. 

Compared solid-state batteries with Li-ion batteries, The current Li-ion battery has a risk of battery damage as swelling caused by temperature change or leakage caused by external force since it uses a liquid electrolyte solution. But a solid-state battery with solid electrolyte shows improved stability with a solid structure, and increased safety since it maintains the form even if the electrolyte is damaged. At present, Baxpower products already have the general purpose of dynamic storage national certification.

"Through persistent exploration and learning, we have developed an interest in solid-state battery technology. Solid-state batteries offer increased safety, efficiency, and stability. From both a technological and business standpoint, the advancement of SSBs plays a key role in the next-generation battery strategy on a global scale. GSP plans to leverage its strengths to support Baxpower's development." Richard said.
