30th January, Zhejiang GSP&DC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Solid State Battery Research Institute founded ceremony was held in DC Energy Ltd. in Jilin.

On 12th January 2024, GSP Automotive Group and DC Energy reached a joint venture agreement and founded Zhejiang GSP&DC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. According to the market, the company plans to start from semi-solid state battery production. Then develops into quasi solid-state battery and all solid-state battery.

As a new battery technique, solid-state battery have advantages such as higher energy density, higher safety, and longer cycle characteristics than traditional liquid batteries. 

The institute's foundation is an important initiative for the cooperation between GSP and DC Energy. During the ceremony, the chairman of DC Energy Haiming Xie was hired as Solid State Battery Research Institute president and the chief scientist.
